I was with the 83 Rd. Artillery Co. C and spent 2 years at Ferris Barracks1962, when not in Graf. Or on the Check. border.  I enjoyed Erlangen and area and my years there, but would not do it again.  We had 8 in. howitzers first towed then self propelled. The picture is old but shows the guns well.  Maybe there is an old timer from then out there.
