Looking for anyone who worked with my Dad, MSG Jimmy D. Gillespie 1/46th 73-77. Been awhile since last posting so I thought I’d freshen things. Anyone remember “Rapi” he was Dad’s clerk. I was young so don’t remember too much, sitting at the end of the street at 5AM listening to all the sqeaking tracks go by….off to play games!! Thanks God bless.
Doug, I didn’t make the match. I see you did respond sometime back to my brother. Hope all is well for you. You wouldn’t have any pictures with Dad around base would you? Just thought I’d ask.
Been talking with Charlie Dorman lately (we only live about an hour apart) and thought I’d check back in and see if anything was shaking on the site. How are things? Have you heard anything from Dale lately?
Dave, I’m alive and well and living in Las Vegas! I’m a road driver for UPS Freight and next month will have 30 years. Hope your doing well? Take care, Dale
I was stationed there with B co.3rd Bn. 51st Infantry 4th Armored Division fro 1963 to 1965. I loved Erlangen and hold it close to my heart. I spent time learning photography from a german lady who drove a red volkswagen Partied at the bars outside Ferris Barracks and trained in tenelhoe, walflicken and Graffenwohr. I love Nurenburg and traveled to Salzberg quite a bit. I am sure everything there has changed since my days there. I visited Erlangen in 1970 and 1972 the last time.I have a daughter that was born there to a girlfriend by the name of Gerlinde Appolonia Wirth. I think she named her Andrea, but I went to Krieg in Vietnam in 1965. Luis Cirilo 975 Flandrau Street Saint Paul, Minnesota
